Inventory Column Definitions

The table below shows columns that you can use in a default or custom template to add or modify SKUs. Columns that can be imported can also be exported in a default or custom template. You can use imports to add a new inventory item that matches an existing Amazon ASIN or to modify an existing SKU. For more information about using custom import templates, see To add an inventory import template. For more information about importing new inventory or modifying existing inventory, see Importing Inventory Overview.

When you import to add inventory, your file should include required columns and any columns that are unique to the inventory items such as Classifications and CostOfGoods. When you import to modify inventory, your file should include required columns and only those columns that you want to modify.

For tracking and ease of order picking, you can assign inventory to locations identified by unique numeric or alphanumeric locator codes.

You can add a locator code at the same time you add a new SKU, add a locator code to an existing SKU, add quantity to a SKU at an existing location, modify the details of a SKU at an existing location, or decrease the quantity of a SKU at an existing location.

The shelf locations for the SKUs in your import file must be available (not closed or in use).
