Product Image Requirements by Market

You can use an AbeBooks catalog image or you can provide up to five images for each listing.

AbeBooks accepts image URLs from photo sharing sites like Flickr, Photobucket, and Dropbox, but blocks URLs from Amazon and eBay.

You can use an Alibris catalog image or you can provide your own.

Image 1 through Image 9 upload to Amazon US Seller Central-type account after you create the product detail page directly on Amazon.

If Amazon US is your home market and you are the creator of a product detail page (you have ASIN authority), Amazon will typically allow you to add or revise the product images.

Using Monsoon Marketplace, you can revise a listing by adding a new image, replacing an existing image, or removing an existing image.

If you are not the creator of the product detail page, Amazon may still select additional photos that you upload for display on a product's detail page. For more information, see Amazon website: Page Ownership.

If Amazon UK  is your home market and you are the creator of a product detail page (you have ASIN authority), Amazon will typically allow you to add or revise product images.

When you upload an image in Image 1 and a stock eBay catalog image exists for the item, eBay will use your uploaded image.

New, revised, or relisted listings (including Good Till Cancelled) that do not meet the picture quality requirements are subject to listing blocks or removal from the site.

Tickets, eBay Motors Vehicles, and eBay Motors Parts & Accessories categories are exempt from these requirements.

At least one photo per listing is required.

A border, text, or artwork is not allowed on the picture.

A watermark is allowed for ownership and attribution, but not for marketing information.

When an item is not in the eBay US catalog, you can upload the item's primary gallery image, and then add additional images directly on eBay.

If you sell items in used condition, you cannot use the stock eBay catalog image as your primary gallery image unless your used item is in the Books, Movies, Music, or Video Game category. New and used items in the Books, Movies, Music, or Video Game category will use the stock eBay catalog image by default. For used items in all other categories, you will need to upload your own primary gallery image.

Note:  Images in Monsoon Marketplace are tied to a product, not to a particular SKU. If you add or change an image in Monsoon Marketplace, that image is added or changed for all new and used condition Monsoon Marketplace SKUs associated with that product.
