Walmart Marketplace
Walmart is an invitation-only marketplace that reaches over 110 million unique potential buyers/month. They are looking for reputable retailers and brands, like you, that provide world-class customer service, a compelling product assortment, competitive pricing, and fast, reliable fulfillment. Walmart Requirements
To ensure your items have the best exposure to buyers on the Walmart marketplace, Walmart has several requirements that sellers must follow in order to list products.
- Walmart only supports listing items in New condition. Items in used conditions will not list to Walmart.
- Walmart requires a Walmart subcategory to list an item. Items that do not have a Walmart subcategory assigned to them in Monsoon will not list to Walmart.
- Walmart requires a description for some categories. If a category requires description and the Description field in Monsoon is blank, then the item will not list to Walmart.
- Walmart requires an image to list an item. The Image 1 field in Monsoon must contain an image that meets Walmart's guidelines.
- Walmart requires a weight to list an item. The Weight field in Monsoon must have a value.
- Walmart requires an item to have an ISBN, UPC, or EAN. Items that do not have an ISBN, UPC, or EAN in Monsoon will not list to Walmart.
- Walmart does not allow sellers to deliver items purchased through their marketplace using Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). FBA items will not be listed on Walmart.

Walmart subcategories can be assigned to items and changed using an inventory import file. For more information, see Inventory Column Definitions.
Sales Tax
Items can be published to Walmart with the taxable retail items code. Tax settings can be configured in the Walmart Settings UI.
Shipping Methods and Carriers
All items will be listed with Walmart's default of Free Value shipping. Walmart's Free Value, Standard, Expedited, Next Day, and Freight shipping methods are supported.
