To add, filter for, and edit eBay item specifics

You can add eBay item specifics on the Inventory Receiving or My Inventory tab. After an item has listed, you can also edit eBay item specifics on the My Inventory tab.

Description

When you receive an item that requires eBay item specifics to list, you can add those specifics at the time of receiving or wait until you've received a batch of items, than create a filtered list for editing on the My Inventory tab.

When you add an item specific to a SKU on the Inventory Receiving or My Inventory tab and then change the SKU's category, the item specific is carried over for validation if its name exists in the new category. This means that you won't have to reenter an item specific if it's accepted by eBay for the new category.
When you create a custom item specific through an import file (an item specific that is not suggested by eBay for that particular category), it's not carried over when the SKU's category is changed. Instead, your custom item specific remains associated with the category the SKU was originally assigned to.

To add eBay item specifics on the Inventory Receiving tab

On the Inventory Receiving tab, scan or enter a product identifier to receive an item. A red eBay Listing Details box indicates that the item can't list until eBay required item specifics are assigned.

Click the eBay Listing Details ellipses button (...) to select item specifics. eBay required item specifics are blue in color and are also displayed as a list.

Choose a value for each eBay required item specific and any optional item specifics you want to assign, and then click OK.

Note After receiving, you can create a list of items that require item specifics on the My Inventory tab using the Has Invalid Item Specifics filter. An item will not list until you assign eBay required item specifics.

To filter by Has Invalid Item Specifics

On the My Inventory tab, in the Category list, select a category.
In the Browse list, select Filter.
In the Column list, select Has Invalid Item Specifics, and then click OK. By default, the Operator column populates with Equals, and the Value column with a checked box.

For each item in your filtered list, click the eBay Listing Details ellipses button (...) to select item specifics. eBay required item specifics are blue in color and are also displayed as a list.

Select a value for each eBay required item specific and any optional item specifics you want to assign, and then click OK.

To add eBay item specifics on the My Inventory tab

On the My Inventory tab, create a filter for Has Invalid Item Specifics. A red eBay Listing Details box indicates that the item can't list until eBay required item specifics are assigned.

To edit eBay item specifics on the My Inventory tab
