eBay Listing Synchronization Overview

eBay Listing Synchronization is a nightly process that identifies and resolves any listing discrepancies between items reported as listed by Monsoon Marketplace and items reported as listed by eBay and eBay UK.

Description

eBay Listing Synchronization primarily resolves duplicate or abandoned eBay listings and Monsoon Marketplace SKUs in status Upload error—listing discrepancies typically caused by marketplace communication issues.

eBay Listing Synchronization also compares SKUs in Monsoon Marketplace to a nightly eBay report of listed items to resolve any discrepancies between listing status, quantity on hand, and price.

• If a SKU is in status Upload Error in Monsoon Marketplace, but is included in eBay's report of listed items, synchronization matches the SKU in Monsoon Marketplace to the eBay listing, then changes the status of the SKU from Upload Error to Listed.
• If more than one listing for a SKU is found on eBay, synchronization matches the SKU in Monsoon Marketplace to a listing on eBay, then removes any other listings for the SKU. This nightly clean-up process keeps your account in good standing with eBay's duplicate listings policy for fixed price listings.
• Synchronization verifies that the price and quantity of an eBay listing match the price and quantity in Monsoon Marketplace. If price and quantity don't match, the eBay listing is revised to match the price and quantity in Monsoon Marketplace. If you are a seller who sets eBay promotional pricing directly on the market, please contact Monsoon Support to ask about turning off eBay Listing Synchronization.
