To turn on Amazon US tax collection
After you select and save tax settings on your Amazon US Seller Central account, you can enable tax codes in Monsoon Marketplace.
Description
First, set up tax collection services on your Amazon US seller account. (Tax collection is supported for Amazon US Seller Central accounts only.)
Next, turn on tax collection in Monsoon:
- On the Monsoon Marketplace Settings tab, click Amazon.
- Under Markets, click the Expand button next to Amazon US, and then click the Expand button next to Additional Settings.
- Under Tax, depending on the tax settings you have configured on your Amazon account, select one or both Enable generic tax code check boxes, one for books and one for all other merchandise.
- The Enable generic tax code for books check box is not shown if the category Books is not selected in any of your listing rules.
- Click OK. Your tax collection setting(s) will now upload with each new listing.
- To update existing listings, you'll need to trigger a listing revision from your Monsoon desktop. You can do this by editing your Amazon market note (recommended) or by delisting then relisting your inventory.
Important Confirm that you have configured tax settings on your Amazon account before enabling tax codes in Monsoon Marketplace. Tax settings in Monsoon Marketplace work in conjunction with the tax settings you have configured on your Amazon account.
