Managing ASINs for Amazon Seller Central Listings

Listing-Sync

Amazon periodically consolidates ASINs for items that have been listed multiple times by various sellers. When this happens, the ASIN that was originally used to list an item might no longer be valid, resulting in poor pricing performance. To correct this problem, Monsoon Marketplace uses Listing-Sync to run through your inventory on a daily basis, comparing your current Amazon Seller Central listings to the data stored for the same items in Monsoon Marketplace.

Whenever a discrepancy between ASINs is identified, Monsoon Marketplace will immediately update the ASIN in your system, ensuring that dynamic pricing continues working to keep your item-listing competitive on the market. (For more information about dynamic pricing, see Pricing overview.)

ASIN-Related Upload Errors

Occasionally when you have received or imported items using product identifiers other than specific ASINs (e.g., UPC or keyword search), the item will fail to list on Amazon. ASIN-related upload errors generally indicate that Amazon has not been able to determine which of several possible catalog entries your inventory should be listed under.

In some cases, Monsoon Marketplace can receive ASIN Matching error data from Amazon that it cannot process. In these cases, Monsoon Marketplace will display the error data and a suggested fix for you to perform manually. For more information about updating ASINs, see Changing an Item's ASIN.
