Delisting and Disabling AbeBooks
You can delist or disable an enabled market. Typically, you delist or disable a market when:
- You want to delist your listings to place a market on vacation.
- Your listings are out of sync with the information in Monsoon Marketplace and you want to delist and then relist your inventory to get the data in sync.
- You decide to stop selling on the market and you want to delist your listings then disable the market. While Monsoon Marketplace is managing your inventory, you should always delist before you disable. If you disable a market before delisting, Monsoon Marketplace cannot remove any existing listings and you will need to manage listings directly on your seller account.
Purge is the term AbeBooks uses for delisting or removing listings. Before you can delist your inventory, you first need to contact AbeBooks Customer Support to let them know that you are sending purge files to remove your listings and that you want those files to be processed. If you do not contact the market, AbeBooks holds your purge requests until you confirm your approval. This a safety feature the marketplace enforces to prevent sellers from accidentally removing their listings.
After you click the De-list inventory from Market button in Monsoon Marketplace and your purge files begin uploading, you may receive a follow-up email from AbeBooks asking you to confirm again that you approve the purge. AbeBooks will not complete processing your files until you respond to the email.
- Once your purge files begin processing, it can take up to 24 hours for the market to remove all of your listings.
- During the delisting process, your inventory is not uploaded to the market although orders for active listings will continue to download.
- If you are delisting and relisting, your items can be off the market for 24—48 hours, depending on the size of your inventory and how quickly the market processes your files.
After a market's delisted (all listing have been removed), you can:
- Relist your inventory.
- Disable the market. Disabling a market stops all Monsoon Marketplace communication with that market. No additional inventory is uploaded and no orders are downloaded. If you disable a market before all listings are removed, your listings stay online, but are no longer managed by Monsoon Marketplace.
