Profit

The value entered in Profit adds to the values in Cost of Goods and Floor Modifier to calculate an item's price floor.

Description

You can enter a positive or negative value in Profit—either a monetary amount or a percentage depending on your profit mode—to manage a specific item's or inventory group's price floor.

Note  Before you enter a value in Profit, consider how it's set to be calculated on the Settings tab under Pricing General—either as a monetary amount that's added to the value in Cost of Goods or as a percentage of the value in Cost of Goods. See Profit Mode for additional information on how profit is calculated using your profit mode setting.

You can enter a value in Profit at the inventory group level on the Settings tab under Inventory Pricing:

Or at the item level on the My Inventory tab or Inventory Receiving tab:

When you change a value in Profit, applied either at the inventory group or item level, all of the inventory that used the old value reprices using the new value.
