Remote Desktop Services licensed seat count

When you log on to Monsoon Marketplace using Remote Desktop Connection, your connection is counted as one licensed seat, the same as when you log on from a standard workstation installation.

Description

When Monsoon Marketplace is installed on a computer running Windows Server with Remote Desktop Services, you can use Remote Desktop Connection to log on and work from anywhere with an Internet connection.

A remote connection is counted in the same way that a licensed seat log on is counted in a standard workstation setup.

Note  A standard Monsoon Marketplace setup is one where Monsoon Marketplace is installed on both the server and workstations.

For example, let's say that you have purchased licenses for 10 seats. Your seat count would be calculated as follows in a standard Monsoon Marketplace installation using Windows Server:

Now, let's say that you set up Windows Server with Remote Desktop Services. Your seat count would be calculated as follows:

Note  Each user who logs on to Monsoon Marketplace, either through a standard workstation installation or through Remote Desktop Connection, must have a unique user name and password.
