Listing Priority and SKU Consolidation
When you have multiple SKUs for a product in the same Amazon condition or you stock items that are fulfilled both locally and Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), Monsoon Marketplace determines which SKU or SKUs to list through a process of consolidation and prioritization. This process keeps your listings in compliance with market guidelines regarding the number of listings you can have for a particular product.
Listing consolidation prevents the creation of multiple listings for SKUs with the same product identifier (ISBN, ASIN, UPC, or EAN) and the same Amazon condition:
- New
- Used–Like New
- Used–Very Good
- Used–Good
- Used–Acceptable
- Collectible–Like New
- Collectible–Very Good
- Collectible–Good
- Collectible–Acceptable
- Refurbished
For more information about condition, see the Amazon website.
When Monsoon Marketplace evaluates a SKU for listing, it checks the SKU's product identifier (ISBN, ASIN, UPC, or EAN) and condition and consolidates as follows:
- If you have multiple locally-fulfilled SKUs for the same product in different conditions, the lowest price SKU in each condition uploads for listing.
- If you have multiple locally-fulfilled SKUs for the same product in the same condition, only the lowest price SKU uploads for listing.
- If you create a new locally-fulfilled SKU for a product that is already listed and the new SKU prices lower than the listed SKU, Monsoon Marketplace delists the listed SKU and uploads the lower-priced SKU. This is true for all markets except eBay which charges an insertion fee when you create a new listing. For eBay, a listing for a higher-priced SKU must first expire before a lower-priced SKU for the same product can upload for listing.
- If you sell a product that is fulfilled both locally and FBA, the FBA SKU always has priority and uploads for listing. This is true for all markets except Amazon. If you sell a product that is fulfilled both locally and through FBA, both the FBA SKU and the lowest-price locally-fulfilled SKU upload for listing.
Although Monsoon consolidates SKUs for listing, it doesn't consolidate the inventory of those SKUs—each SKU retains its separate inventory.
