To add a data exchange

You can set up a data exchange to pass inventory and order information between Monsoon Marketplace and an external system.

  1. On the Settings tab of the Monsoon Marketplace server, in the left pane under Markets, click Data Exchange.
  2. In the right pane, click Add Data Exchange.
  3. In Name, enter a name for your data exchange.
  4. Select the folders that you want your data to import or export to, one folder for each type of file: InventoryImport, InventoryExport, OrdersImport, and OrdersExport.

When you do this, note that Monsoon Marketplace cannot connect to a directory through a mapped drive on a network—the folder and sub-folders must be directly on the computer running Monsoon Marketplace.

  5. Select the custom template you created for each file type (recommended) or select the default template.

  6. Do one of the following:
  7. Do one of the following:
  8. Click OK. Within 30 minutes your new data exchange should display as a market on the Reports tab and as a menu selection on the Orders tab under Markets.
