Troubleshooting FBA Problem Orders
Certain Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) orders may not be able to be fulfilled by Amazon and may result in a problem order. The two most common reasons for an FBA problem order are:
- There is a discrepancy between FBA fulfillable quantity in Monsoon Marketplace and actual fulfillable quantity at Amazon so that Amazon does not have the quantity available to ship.
- The order is to be shipped to an international address, but Monsoon Marketplace does not support international FBA shipments.
- The address provided by the buyer is not a valid address.
Multi-Channel problem orders
Monsoon Marketplace tries to resolve any unfulfillable multi-channel order that you receive as follows:
- If the fulfillable quantity is less than the shipped quantity in your FBA order and you have a local quantity of the ordered SKU, Monsoon Marketplace switches your fulfillment type to local and places the orders in your new orders queue. The order can be filled like any other local order.
- If you do not have sufficient local quantity to cover a shortfall in your FBA fulfillable quantity, the order becomes a problem order. It is marked red and the status becomes In Process.
These rules are applied at the item level. If only one item in a multi-item order is unfulfillable, Monsoon Marketplace will try to fulfill this item locally or immediately mark it as a problem order item, while still sending the appropriate shipment requests to FBA.
Quantity unavailable
Rarely, there can be a latency between updates to available quantities on your Amazon account and updates within Monsoon Marketplace. This may result in a shortage of available FBA inventory.
Note Amazon will not ship partially fulfilled FBA orders. If you have a fulfillable quantity of 1, but the FBA order specifies a quantity of 2, Amazon will reject the order item and will not fulfill.
